There
are a number of good home worm farm kits available to buy, Some come
with worms and instructions. For the more serious worm grower, These are
regarded as toys and have no real place in the commercial worm farm.
The
Reln worm farm is a good one and so is the Can O worms.
They can be purchased on the internet. You may even find a link on the
right of this page to get one yourself.
It
contains stackable trays and a base for collecting the leachate that
drips from the worm bedding.
The
worms and bedding are placed on the tray directly above the base and
feed is added to the tray until the tray is full. Then an empty tray is
placed on top of the worms and feed added. the worms will naturally work
their way upward through the feed and after all the trays are full. The
bottom tray is removed and applied to your garden, this tray may have a
few worms left in it but most worms will be in the top tray with the
freshest feed.
